Port Pass & MTSC

Port Pass Identification

A valid port pass identification is an accredited port stakeholder photo identification card that identifies personnel authorized to access the port.

Marine Transportation Security Clearance (MTSC)

An additional layer of the port pass application process, to include a background check through the Marine Transportation Security Clearance program, are conducted on marine workers with certain duties and access to certain restricted areas.

Clearance is required to reduce the risk of security threats caused by unlawful interference with the marine transportation system.

Fraser Surrey Docks: Management & Unionized Regular Work Force (RWF) Employees (Includes Foremen and Customer Service Accounting Team (CSAT))

All FSD management and unionized RWF employees will be required to obtain and/or already possess a valid port pass identification as a requirement of their employment at FSD. It will be up to each individual to look after the issuance and re-applying following the expiry of a valid port pass identification (and/or MTSC).

Issuance and/or re-application of a valid port pass and MTSC will require a sponsorship through FSD authorized by a marine facility security officer (MFSO). Please contact mfsomanagment@fsd.bc.ca with your contact information. Once this is completed an MFSO will respond accordingly with next steps in the sponsorship process along with an attached form for applicant to fill out.
